SMS welcomes the BBC

As part of the OSoSic II project we were fortunate to have a bid to the BBC concert orchestra accepted to support our project based around the BBC 10 pieces. This project features most of the secondary schools in Solihull and invited primary/junior schools

On Sunday 4th February over 140 young Solihull musicians descended on Lyndon school (home of the Music Service) to work with BBC musicians to help get us prepare for the performance on 16th February at the Warwick Arts Centre.  https://www.warwickartscentre.co.uk/whats-on/2018/orchestra-of-solihull-schools-in-concert/

This is the feedback we received from the BBC

‘Hi Richard,

Thank you for a lovely day on Sunday – the musicians and I had a really great day. You have such lovely polite, engaged young people. They were sounding really great and I am sure the concert is going to be a fantastic success.’

Wow what praise indeed and well done to all!
