Dear Parent/Carer/Pupils
This is for advanced drummers, woodwind, vocalists and brass players who have lessons with Solihull Music service. Those younger musicians we teach there are now plenty of resources on our You tube channel and on our online area of our website.
We are delighted to offer after May half term a series of free online workshops aimed at our SMS ensemble players and more advanced musicians.
We have been very fortunate to secure funding from SYMSA to enable these to happen.
We have secured some of the very best musicians in the country to host these online workshops.
There will be a series of 4/5 workshops taking place every Wednesday starting June 3rd.
The first workshop will run at 5.00pm – 5.40pm for students around Grade 3 – 5 standard and the second workshop will run 6.00pm – 6.40pm for students around the grade 6-8 standard.
We will be using the video conferencing platform of ZOOM for these workshops to take place.
Places for these workshops are limited and will be offered on a ‘first come first serve’ basis. To secure a place: email your name, instrument and a parent’s mobile number (so we are able to send the secure ZOOM link to enable you to join the workshop) to messages@solmus.solgrid.org.uk.
We would also like to encourage students taking part to send in a question for that workshop that our guests can answer as part of the session and to help them plan.
The workshops are as follows: (with info on the artist)
